How to Test API

On ActiveTrail API Reference you can explore the API with your own data. See what calls are available, and how we format the data that’s returned.

To get started, follow these steps:

  1. Generate a new API token or use an existing key from your Activetrail account. (account settings >> API apps >> add new).
  2. Copy your API key.
  3. Go to the any endpoint you want to test and click on the button called “Test API” on the right top of the screen.
  4. Paste your active API key into the authentication field, add your parameters and click send.

Note

API test isn’t a sandbox. Any actions you take in the test will affect your account data as if you made those calls from your own server.
